Reagan was universally revered by Republicans and Democrats alike. Even if you didn't like him, liberals of the time respected him and acknowledged that he was a classy guy.Trump is reviled by leaders of his party. This comparison is idiotic and uneducated
tommygun - March 2, 2016, 9:24 pm,
Uneducated? Tell me one thing in the comparison isn't true
fauxnews - March 2, 2016, 9:26 pm,
For starters, Reagan was a decent man in a time where being liberal meant something different than it means now.
fauxnews - March 2, 2016, 9:28 pm,
Reagan was the governor DUH of California for two terms, once in 1967 and again in 1971. Reagan served in office in some capacity in a significant way.Trump has NONE of that experience. And don't play with the semantics here. That's what's important there
fauxnews - March 2, 2016, 9:29 pm,
Reagan was taken very seriously as both and actor AND a politician. Trump lacks both the class and that same kind of respect. He was never a respected tv personality and as a politician he's hated even by the leaders of his own party.
fauxnews - March 2, 2016, 9:31 pm,
This politifake poster is completely out-of touch with what it is saying. If not uneducated, then as delusional as an alzheimer's patient.
fauxnews - March 2, 2016, 9:34 pm,
Reagan lead his party into realignment and into his will as President. Trump is simply bullying his party into getting what he wants. That's the difference, and it means everything. You've made your bed, Trump supporters.
tommygun - March 4, 2016, 12:33 pm,
That's not a congressional seat (i.e. Washington) duh
tommygun - March 4, 2016, 12:37 pm,
Bullying his party? The republican party hasn't been the republican party for some years now. McConnell and Ryan are giving away the farm to the democrats. Being politically incorrect is not bullying
tommygun - March 4, 2016, 12:40 pm,
If anything, Trump is bringing the republicans together against the Washington machine. People are tired of politics as usual. Maybe if the others were telling it like it is rather than being a politician, maybe they would have the most supporters
fauxnews - March 4, 2016, 12:41 pm,
That's not what you meant to imply. The poster implies that both men where running for political office without "any experience." Whether it was a congressional seat or being governor for many years, that sure trumps TRUMP who had ZERO experience at the job
fauxnews - March 4, 2016, 12:42 pm,
Trump is an fascist moron with a personality disorder. He's more than politically incorrect. You are being delusional if you don't acknowledge any of that.
fauxnews - March 4, 2016, 12:43 pm,
Trump isn't "telling it like it is." He's being manipulative, lying half the time he speaks (Republicans and democrats alike can list dozens of examples of this) and bullying his way into the nom. Fascism isn't the way you do it. Again, you're delusional
fauxnews - March 4, 2016, 12:45 pm,
But, if anything, Trump is bringing democrats and Republicans "together" against the very broken GOP party machine. Everyone seems to agree Trump is the tumor on the party, except idiot Trump supporters.
fauxnews - March 4, 2016, 12:47 pm,
Sorry, mate, but Trump and his followers are up there with scientology. There are simply such things that go beyond the pale (ie.the anti-vaxxer mvt, scientology, the Trump mvt) that patently deserve the mockery they get. Trump supporters = morons
fauxnews - March 4, 2016, 12:51 pm,
FFS, the Trump movement has even sunken as low as opening the discourse now about who has the bigger johnson on national tv. (answer: Trump IS the biggest c*ck, literally). That's not called "speaking your mind". That's called 'mentally ill." Nuff said.
tommygun - March 4, 2016, 2:37 pm,
Without any experience is your interpretation. My insinuation is they both are not from the Washington political clan. An ape and a pear are not the same even though both have seeds, grow on trees, are edible, have a thin skin, and juice.
tommygun - March 4, 2016, 2:38 pm,
A comparison of similarities is not saying they are the same thing, that's your interpretation
tommygun - March 4, 2016, 2:40 pm,
Haha. An APPLE* and a pear
fauxnews - March 4, 2016, 3:16 pm,
Nah, it's a matter of fact that Reagan has held a government job of some sort.Trump has zero experience. Since you are bringing up delusional comparisons to fruit,I will say that Trump and his supporters together make a fruitcake.VotingTrump=stupid, period
fauxnews - March 4, 2016, 3:19 pm,
P.S. Also, Reagan was ALWAYS very much a political insider most of his life. It's why the Bush family warmed up to him (ie.Bush was running the CIA well before he was Reagan's running mate). Reagan WAS part of the GOP clan.Trump is just part of the Klan
truthteller - March 4, 2016, 3:46 pm,
maybe subconscious guilt got the better of you. Trump and his groupies ARE "apes." You got it right the first time
tommygun - March 4, 2016, 5:24 pm,
Postal employees have a government job too, guess that makes them Washington insiders too? Lol
fauxnews - March 4, 2016, 6:52 pm,
Idiotic comparison. Reagan wasn't a postal worker. He was the conservative governor of an entire state. Totally different. You laugh like you are making some valid common-sense point when the reality is it is the delusional laughter of insanity.
fauxnews - March 4, 2016, 6:55 pm,
And, again, just out of curiosity.... I harmlessly asked once (recently) if this is a former politifaker named "OTC." You never responded but responded to other comments. Is it true? Just curious. Or don't answer if you do not feel comfortable. Don't care
TheConservativeInsurgent - March 2, 2016, 8:57 pm,
Donald Trump represents the absolute antithesis of everything true constitutional conservatives believe in and stand for. Donald Trump = Richard Nixon
truthteller - March 4, 2016, 1:28 pm,
Reagan was no Washington outsider brother. When he was "governor" of California for many years, he was very much a part of the Washington scene, often visiting Republicans in Washington, laying the groundwork for his eventual Presidential campaign.
truthteller - March 4, 2016, 1:31 pm,
comparing Ronald Reagan to Donald Trump is like comparing Janis Joplin to Rebecca Black. An embarrassing stupid politifake poster.
